We are going to try to get rid of “stuff”. The hub is more attached to it then I am. We have 2 campers, 3 cars, a small house, but have to rent a second one for Hubs work, which is 2-1/2 hours away from “home”. I would like to also get rid of satellite tv, $100 a month, hub would like to get rid of the Internet at our house, since we are almost never here, but being out in the boonies, that would kill the cell phones, and Hulu, and Netflix, which would leave us with nothing. We don’t have tv at the rental, just Internet, and I don’t miss it at all. It is nice not to get all the news sometimes, but my friends and family are always amazed when I am not up to date on the latest news. Mostly it is BAD, and gets me angry, or sad, so I am not that into it. I read stuff on the web when I can.
Fabric, (and supplies) now THAT will be tricky. I can stop (or nearly) buying that, but you always need thread and batting, rotary cutting blades, mats, seems like there is always something like that to go along with it. Unfortunately, this week we have to go see about buying a new (used) car. Bill hates the Nissan, so he wants a small SUV. (I love it, but it is not “my” car. I have a truck!) so, our gas mileage is going to go down the tank, which is also not going to save. We have 4 freezers (fridge and a freezer at each house) and they are filled to capacity. I will try to get the hub to try not to buy so much more food, even if it IS on sale, since we can’t eat it all, just us 2. There is a lot of excess here we can cut, we just have to agree to do it.
