In northern Germany, where I live, there are lots of orchards, mostly apple and cherry. If it is freezing when the trees already bloom the trees are sprayed with water the whole time. The freezing water releases energy,, so inside the blossoms stay intact. The problem is you have to spray the whole time it is freezing. It is still freezing here, too and not just at night. Normally this time of the year we would prepare the garden for planting in April. But we still have snow, although we didn´t have much the whole winter.
Greetings from Germany, Inka
