Judy I’m so very proud of you for doing this! organizing your yarn stash so that it is coordinated with your patterns is the first big step along the road to having finished products. I did this with my quilting stash and patterns a few years ago, and it has really paid off for me. My stash is not overwhelming me, i no longer have to ‘shop for my stash’, i have a goal in sight, and i have the security of knowing that i have exactly what i need to make each quilt.
I still have one drawer of ‘unspoken for, free range’ yardage left, (probably less than 50 yards) but even those pieces are enough yardage to use for bindings, borders, or backings if i need them for scrappy quilts.
now if you could just get Vince hooked into knitting your socks for you, your yarn stash would really disapear in a hurry.
