I can just picture you and Vince making excuses to go outside, and bee-lining for the fig trees. It’s nice that you both enjoy them so much.
I had my first fresh fig after moving to California, and I think they’re wonderful, too! The person who had the figs said he got sticky lips all day but it was worth it. I wondered how all day? but found out (they were a green fig) and yes, it is worth it!
For readers’ info: figs don’t ripen after picking (like so many fruits do) so buy them ripe and eat them soon.
