Comment on Barbed Wire is Cruel by Karol

I grew up on a N. D. farm and identify with all the ‘stuff’. Didn’t like liver but could eat it fried, wouldn’t eat tongue or headcheese.

Don’t know how many barbed wire scratches and 3 corner tears in shirts and pants I got crawling thru the fences between the wires. Cat scratches of course. Bitten by a dog. No tetanus shots tho.
I also had to fix fence when they broke it. Didn’t like finding them and getting them back in the pasture but I did like fixing fence. Guess I hadn’t figured out that was work yet.

One of my 4-H heifers loved dried corn on the cob. her tongue seemed like it was about 18” long when she wanted that cob of corn. LOL She could wrap it sideways around the cob and grab it out of my hand. That tongue was so rough when she would lick my hands. The other heifers I had wanted the corn shelled off the cob or they wouldn’t touch it, but not Heiress. :-)

thanks for the memories……

Karol
