Judy, You don’t know what a blessing it is to have Vince do the dirty/hard work for you to get your potato beds ready. One year recently I planted 3 different kinds of potatoes directly in the ground (50 ft. long rows). The planting and covering was fun. Then a month later when I have to hoe some more dirt over them to build up the mound, I thought my back would break!!! Both sides of each row had to be dug and howed! Than a month later, DO it again.!! UGH. By then I didn’t care if they made potatoes or not. But they did in spite of my neglect. Then when it came time to harvest, the soil was packed down so tight that it took a bullldozer to unearth them! Boy, was that a FUN project! NOT. I did this all by myself and I’ll tell you, your boxes look wonderful to me. I only wish we’d seen a big potato raised garden idea sooner. I know you will have bunches of potatoes this year. Dar
