Have done quilts for my little g.g. and used just the Minkee backing. Washed beautifully and the resulting texture eliminated some of that “flat” look that came from no batt. My wee one was a July baby, born last year, and the first quilt was for immediate use so didn’t want the heavier weight. Was perfect! Love both of the quilts!
