Chickens who won’t let a hen sit peaceably on her eggs should probably be gumbo. Otherwise, they’ll limit your flock in a very unhappy way. Della is a really beautiful hen.

Judy, You can tell a young rooster by the feathers on the back of his neck. A rooster has pointy end hackles feathers. A hens hackles feathers are gently rounded.

No, we’re not going to hatch any of their eggs. They’re predisposed to having leg issues and not a whole lot of them survive so I don’t want to deal with that.
