Judy, I am thrilled for Chad and his family. Maybe after a few more moves/promotions he will end up closer to you. I know how proud you and Vince are. I’m also glad that there may not be any bridges in your way! That may save you some travel time!
As for Nicole not having a car, that is hard if she has to take Addie for a fast visit to the Dr. or something like that. When you are ready for a new little Honda CRV, maybe they would welcome having that car. It would probably be worth more to them than you could get on a trade in. We did that once for our oldest son, gave him Dad’s old Toyota truck that was in good shape but lots of miles. He drove it for years and we would have realized very little $$$ for selling it or trading it in. He made payments to us for what it was worth as a trade in, made everyone of them and had a safe vehicle that had over 100 miles a day put on it (driving from San Clemente to Chino every day). It made him responsible as it just was not given to him. I’d be proud of Chad and Nicole as well. You have a beautiful family.
